ABOUT

I am Ruchi Shah. I am an illustrator, storyteller, wall artist, surface designer, bookmaker and art facilitator … and a lot more, hopefully. My love for textures, patterns, paper, print, ink, everyday materials and conversations continues to be the primary reason for me to create. Busy cities, rustic towns; chaos, organization - I find all of this fascinating along with the concept of scale. I create images through printmaking, book-binding, murals, collage, assemblage and installation art. I don’t need a reason to travel or explore new media - tactile or virtual, as both whet my appetite to explore something new.

Since 2010, I’ve worked on numerous books and some of my publishers include Tulika Books, Harper Collins, Pickle Yolk Books and Pratham Books. I have designed spaces for many clients including Amazon, Quint-Bloomberg, Condé Nast, Freshworks and counting.
