GOKARNA SEEN THROUGH TEXTURES

Banded by texture, these images shot in Gokarna, allowed me to take in tiny details that are discounted in a big cities’ humdrum. Far away from a whirlwind-ish modern civilization, this laidback temple-town has abandoned the concept of time. Although the landscape echoes with other coastal towns, it radiates a feeling of timelessness. Vernacular nameplates, ornamental rooftops, neatly parked rickshaws, patterns created by water on sand, pink skies - the constant within these images is that there is only one thing to focus on.
